Earlier this week my girlfriend Molly auditioned for and landed the lead role of Celia the Scarecrow in 13th Street Repertory Company's theatrical production of WISEACRE FARM. This play has been running for 10 years and recently went on hiatius and is coming back later this month for another ongoing run. . .

"ART DOGS" . . .YES, IT'S LIKE THE COWS

I recently finished my part of a collaborative charity project put together by Pet Health Store NYC called "Art Dogs & Cats of New York". They commissioned 12 talented local artists to paint twelve statues of dogs and cats, which will be displayed outside their store, and auctioned off to raise money for six NYC animal rescue groups. The idea is emulation of the Art Cows, exhibits that took place in Chicago and New York some years ago, but on a slightly smaller scale.
They asked me to document the process of painting it with photos. . .

I SAW THE FIGURE 6 IN FOAM . . . SCULPTING A # 6 PUPPET
MONDAY, FEBRUARY 15, 2010 - COJO'S NJ STUDIO, NJ
In the spirit of Sesame street, and considering I've got an HD video camera ( I bought it for my ART VLOG Straphanger Memoirs.com, I decided that Molly and I should make a few videos for the 6 Degree project, to explain the project simply, and to show Molly acting and interacting with a puppet.
I decided to make part of the logo, the 6 Degrees of Sesame number 6 out of foam. I worked up a makeshift prototype out of 1 1/2 inch foam by eyeballing the lines and cutting it out with an electric kitchen knife. . .
