GETTING COMFORTABLE 10-31-00
JEN and I both had the day off, and she wanted to run erands. But I wanted to sleep. We walked around and she got pissed because she wanted to go to Central Park but I was exausted.
She left and dropped off my blockbuster tapes, and bought me stamps. I got up and got dressed and met her half way back from the food emporium. We went to the Manhattan Mall, then we went to a trendy little bar/resturant called LIVE BAIT on 23rd street for white russians. We had a great dinner at a resturant called PUNCH in the flatiron district. They have the coolest logo.
Went back to the pad and watched the TV show blind date while eating sherbet. She helped me organize my bills. Went to sleep 4:30.
In the morning I went to work. She slept till 2:30 at the pad while I worked. Met her at the Broadway theater for a showing of the play COPENHAGEN, which was brilliant by the way. It was a three man show. Jen looked beautiful, and I told her so. The crowd was full of old people, more white hair then a polar bear orgy.
We wanted to eat Thai after the play. The first place we went to had a bug on the menu in the window. We opted to walk on. The second Thai place, where we actually ate, a guy made a huge scene about his food, weirdo man, you can't escape them in this city. We knew it wasn't the best Thai place because it had neon lights in the windows, which just spells cheesy. Came back to the pad and did TV Guide Crossword Puzzle
The next night, Jen was wearing her shit kickers. We went to the mall at the South Street Seaport. We ate outside and debated which bridge it was we were looking at. After dinner we walked down to the dock and kissed on a broken rail. We took a smelly cab to the end of the Bowery. The driver screwed up and dropped us at the wrong end, we didn't notice because we were probably too busy making out or something.
Went to the club called THE ELBOW ROOM where we met up with Jen's coworker Dale. Dale drinks tequilla, and some dude she was with got her scotch by mistake, which pissed her off to no end.
We got our drink on, I had Amaretto Sours. Jen had three Long Island Iced Teas. A night to remember.
Just another day in the life of an Art Juggernaut.
