MR. AND MRS. SMITH FOR CATS 6-20-05
TRACY has two indoor cats, CREAM PUFF and MISTY . I actually drew them into a recent MAXIM PIECE . Cream Puff hates my guts. Whenever I'm over Tracy's, Cream Puff hisses at me non stop. She also likes to bite and scratch me so that the backs of my hands look like I'm into razorplay.
Her breath reeks, so when she bites me she leaves little stinky spit trails on my hands.
Well, I have never seen Cream Puff take an interest in anything. The other day I was at Tracy's pad and a commercial for MR. AND MRS. SMITH came on the tube. Cream Puff got up ran over to the TV and sat there watching it intently. It was really bizarre in that she's never acknowledged the TV before in her life.
She sat there watching the entire commercial compelled, her eyes locked to the screen. The commercial ended and she went back to the spot on the floor where she had been previously resting.
I have no explanation for this. Does anyone have any ideas? There was a lot of action, fast-talking and flashing white screens with type, but what is different about that than any other movie trailer that makes this one so damn cat appealing?
I generally dislike anything Cream Puff likes (Except Tracy), so the fact that she was so drawn to this trailer makes me less inclined to make the trip to the theater. I can't wait till this flick comes on DVD and they put the trailer in the extras. When I visit Trace I'll bring the DVD and play that shit on a loop.
Just another day in the life of an Art Juggernaut.

(The cat pictured in the open to this post is MORRIS, not Cream Puff)
