Currently working on a portrait for the champ himself Iron Mike Tyson !!. I don't care what people say, I grew up in a time when the only pay per view things my parents ever splurged on were, Howard Stern But Bongo Fiesta, Woodstock 94, and Heavy Weight Title Fights. It was a spectacle to gather around the tube and watch Mike beat the shit out of whomever they threw at him. We played Mike Tyson's Punch Out!! religiously, and every kid on the street had a heavy bag. I'm a long time fan, and I think he gets an unfair rap. Media always wants to tear its heroes down.-Respect!
I did a little work on the Ali line for FUBU a few years back, and although Ali was "The Greatest" I always had to wonder if both were in their primes in a parallel universe, what would have happened in the ring?
I got the commission hook-up through Mike Tyson's sister Jacqueline Rowe who is friends with Eve, and contacted me back when I was working on THE LIFEBEAT PROJECT and we have since become friends. Jacqueline is a big fan and private collector of my work (paintings / sketches).
Mike and Jacqueline and probably the artists she represents will be attending the GALA for the paintings derived from Sketch365.com (as will anyone who buys a sketch- it's open to all Sketch365.com patrons)
