ARTSUCKS.COM YEAR ONE
5-8-06 POST RATED: Bloglinks, Artsucks.com, Year One, One Year Online, Blog Love

Artsucks.com (blog) just hit it's first year anniversary of being an online entity. The world would not know that Artsucks.com existed if it weren't for all of you Artsucks.com readers, fellow bloggers, fans, magazine-heads, online zines, radio shows, blog enthusiasts and friends who have linked your sites to mine in the past year, forwarded my site(s) to your mailing list, or simply told your buddies to check it out.

Every little bit helps. I'm only one man, but together we are something bigger. With a community of loyal fans standing behind me and my career who knows, maybe I (we) can actually make a difference in this fucked up little world. Even if it's only opening someone's eyes to art, inspiring some depressed kid with talent and a dream, or brightening up a living room.

I, COJO , would like to personally thank all of you for keeping this little blog trudging along through it's freshman year. The blog itself is beginning to build Juggernaut momentum and it's only because of all of you that it's even making a blip on the radar.

As a blogger I'll admit it, I kinda suck, I know this. I'm an Art Juggernaut. This is why blogger isn't my job title. I don't update the blog daily. I have all this drawing ability yet use a lot of photos when there are a lot of other blogs out there where people actually editorially illustrate every update with drawings / paintings. I have very little time to write (neigh draw ) for this blog with all the work, networking, etc. I do- especially since I started my yearlong sketch-a-day experiment Sketch365.com.

Blogging every day would for me be impossible, I don't know how you professional bloggers do it. I only get to write about a tenth of all the crazy shit I do / experience. It sucks that I can't blog 24 / 7 but then I wouldn't get any time to actually do the things I write about, none the less draw or paint.

I'm sure at some point when I'm old and gray I will take the other 90 percent of my life and put it together with some artwork, slap a front and back cover on it, call it an autobiography, and maybe if I'm lucky more than just a select small niche minority of art aficionados will enjoy all the fucked up tales that were too lurid or inconsequential for the web.

P.S.
As a quick look back, here was the launch update one year ago . (Notice the busted knuckle in the photo above- fourth metacarpal paintball casualty while attending SVA. Luckily I'm right handed).

Just another day in the life of an Art Juggernaut.

ABOUT ARTSUCKS

Artsucks.com tracks the f_cked-up visual life and mind of COJO ART JUGGERNAUT (MAXIM, ROLLING STONE, VIBE), a 28-year-old artistic zeitgeist trudging the streets of Manhattan (Philly, Vegas, Bklyn, etc...), gnawing on the big rotten apple for all it's worth, and getting drunk on the cider. . .
Celebrity encounters, industry parties, the ins and outs of the art world, paparazzi, models, and deranged homeless people bathing in their own urine. No topic is safe, and the unusual is commonplace. . .
Grab your sketchbook, skirt the velvet rope and take a walk with the beautiful people!
