WWE BREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS
7-1-07 POST RATED: WWE Artwork, The Nature Boy, Ric Flare, Jain, History of Champions, Magazine, David Arquette, Groupies Cojo Art Juggernaut, Cojoart.com, Artsucks.com
OK kids, if you want to learn about the complete history of professional wrestling, make sure to pick up a copy of this WWE Special Issue "THE COMPLETE HISTORY OF CHAMPIONS" if you can still find it on the shelves. I only say this because there are a bunch of articles about Chris Benoit in this issue, and as this was published just before the alleged "unfortunate incident" I'd assume that those articles alone probably made it an instant collectors item.
If you do manage to find it I did a great two-page spread in there on pages 60-61. Sixteen-time World Champion "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair gives advice on the finer points of holding the title belt. Mainly what you should and shouldn't do with the belt. 8 humorous do's and don'ts, which were fun to draw. I love how these pieces came out, and so did the WWE brass, as they have given me my OWN NEW MONTHLY FEATURE IN WWE MAGAZINE!
I just finished up the first edition of it on Friday. I'll keep you posted and put up the Ric Flair art in a few weeks.
I like doing these illustrations because finally I'm drawing characters I can reference model for myself. . . Oh, just found it on the WWE store, if you can't find the history of champions magazine on the shelves you can still order it online:

THANKS TO JAIN FOR MODELING AS RIC'S PARTY FLOOZY.
