The new issue of XXL MAGAZINE came out this month (Snoop on cover) with a cool little 4-Panel piece I did SEE ART LARGER. It's about how a lot of rappers / hip-hop artists are hiring guys to follow them around with a video camera 24/7 to document their lives. The idea was to depict this in four panels, showing the banal daily nothings that are recorded 99 percent of the time.
It's kinda self explanatory. The first panel shows the rapper waking up with a camera already in his face, then in panel two we see the rapper eating while doing a recorded interview (and being filmed). panel 3 has the rapper performing on stage, and the last panel shows the rapper being filmed in a strip club.
The original concept was a little different, I had a rapper being followed with a chick, and them fucking in the last panel. I was going to use an Asian screen and have them as a colored silo, but all of that was canned after the rough stage for the version you see in print.
