DON'T VOTE. . . TELL FIVE FRIENDS
10-4-08 POST KEYWORDS: don't vote, register to vote, amy adams will.i.am, jennifer aniston, kevin bacon, halle berry, kate bosworth, connolly, courteney cox, ellen degeneres, leonardo dicaprio, jamie foxx, jonah hill, dustin hoffman, anthony kiedis, ashton kutcher, adam levine, laura linney, eva longoria, tobey maguire, demi moore, natalie portman, giovanni ribisi, ethan suplee, kyra sedgwick, michelle trachtenberg, usher, forest whitaker, cojo art juggernaut, artsucks.com, cojo

To my friends who like art, have worked with me, like my work, went to school with me, are related to me, have visited my site, have bought my work, have no idea who I am, or just hate my guts- If you are at least 18-years-old and are an American Citizen, please watch this video and pass it on to 5 of your friends and go to www.maps.google.com/vote to register.

If you aren't American (which a lot of you aren't), that's cool too, you can still participate by passing it on to 5 of your American friends who are 18 and up.

I normally try not to push an agenda (ahem... as he slides soapbox out from behind a canvas with a soapbox painted on it), but this election is an important one, and if you don't register to vote, your opinion doesn't count.

If you live in certain States (swing States like Pennsylvania, Florida, or Ohio) the last day for you to register to vote is THIS MONDAY, October 6th. New York's registration cut off is this coming FRIDAY, October 10th, New Jersey is October 14th.

I didn't know that, and I have actually been following this shit. If I didn't know, then so many people who aren't registered also don't know. I just found out about this today.

If you live in Pennsylvania, Florida, or Ohio, instead of passing it on to 5 friends pass it on to 50 friends. If you have a website, post it, if you have a blog- blog it, if you are on facebook - fun wall it, if you are on myspace post it as a bulletin.

PENNSYLVANIA VOTING REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS:
You must be a citizen of the United States at least one month before the next election.
You must be a resident of Pennsylvania and your election district at least 30 days before the election
You must be at least 18 years of age on the day of the next election
In Pennsylvania you can vote with a criminal record, just as long as you have not been confined in a penal institution for the conviction of a felony within the last 5 years.

FLORIDA VOTING REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS:
You must be a citizen of the United States .
You must be a resident of both Florida and the county in which you seek to be registered.
You must be at least 18 years old (you may pre-register if you are 17).
You must not now be adjudicated mentally incapacitated with respect to voting in Florida or any other State.

OHIO VOTING REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS:
You must be a citizen of the United States.
You must be a resident of Ohio and your election district at least 30 days before the election.
You must be at least 18 years of age on or before election day.
You must not be convicted of a felony and currently incarcerated.
You must not be found incompetent by a court for purposes of voting.

Also, if you know people in Philly who have been intimidated to not register to vote for fear of arrest at the polls, it's an intimidation ploy and not true. They will not be arrested. Read this: VOTE SCAM FLIERS TARGET BLACK NEIGHBORHOODS.

And remember, nobody can find out how you voted unless you tell them. It takes on average less time to vote than it takes to order at a McDonald's Drive through, and in most states you can vote even if you have a criminal record (some you can actually vote while in prison). -Thanks!
