After the beer in the keg ran out at the Mighty Tanaka Opening of Robots Will Kill & Friends - ArtSucks.com, artist Gigi Chen was leaving to go to a show in the Lower East Side and invited us to come. She assured me I would like the work. It was the closing party for artist, studio mates, and collaborators Brandon Friend and Jason Douglas Griffin's show identity CRISIS at Lambert Fine Arts.
After battling our way through the tightly packed crowd we were able to belly up to the bar where professional retro looking mixologists making old school drinks.
I was introduced to Brandon. His work, and the abundance of collaborative work he and Griffin created for the show was impressive. The giant crowd that turned up for the closing party made it hard to really take it all in.

A few days later I caught up with Brandon Friend and got to talk with him about the show, his artwork, and the beauty of collaboration BRANDON FRIEND'S IDENTITY CRISIS - ArtSucks.com
