The art spaces, galleries, pop-up galleries, and a few apartments made host to Bushwick's Beat Nite. Molly I managed to art crawl through a good portion of them. They are few and far between but have that DIY Brooklyn style that is unique to the borough and is something you don't find when walking around SoHo or Chelsea.
The first stop was one of the only full time galleries in Bushwick, English Kills.
Our second stop was a pop-up space by, Arch Collective.
Peace out bathtub TV. Off to the next gallery.
Neither does ART!
Next stop was Norte Maar.
Grabbed a quick shot of myself in the mirror.
A permanant piece installed in Norte Maar by Ben Godward.
Norte Maar's Co-Founder and Director, Jason Andrew.
We headed over to Ridgewood's own Famous Accountants for the opening of their new show OBSESSION: THE BOOK OF REVELATION FROM THE KORAN by artist Meg Hitchcock.
Besides the framed pieces the walls were also covered with an installation Meg created with passages from the book of revelation created from a dissected Koran with the letters meticulously cut and pasted to create the other work.
The last stop of the night was to Visceral Logic featuring the work of Erika Keck and THROWHITE (Genevive White and Zefrey Throwell ) at Sugar.
