Brooklyn's own artist / videographer Loren Munk proves the opposite of his "what Manhattan makes Brooklyn takes" mantra as he gives a little Brooklyn back to Manhattan in his first solo show on the island in over a decade: Location, Location, Location, Mapping the New York Art World at the Lesley Heller Workspace in the Lower East Side.
I managed to swing by for the tail end of the opening and check out his colorful and wonderfully detailed large scale paint on canvas maps of the ever-changing New York art world ritualistically and somewhat chaotically mapped out over spans of time and evolving neighborhoods.
