Art Sucks.com is a single-author contemporary art blog that for the past
decade has keenly and often satirically observed the convergence of fine
art, pop culture, art critique, street, cartoon, comic, and commercial art in the 21st century.
It took half of my short life to hone my artistic voice -- drawing thousands of illustrations for hundreds of magazines, writing hundreds of blog posts, taking thousands of photographs, and having had artwork printed in 15 countries and translated into 16 languages.
Over the last few years my gaze (along with my blog's motif) has been shifting with a sharp eye for contemporary art, both good and bad. Art Sucks.com will continue to chronicle my journey out from under the glossy pages of the Maxims and Rolling Stones and onto the canvas-lined world of galleries, high art glamour, and parlor walls of elite sophisticates.
Celebrity encounters, industry parties, the ins and outs of the art world, paparazzi, models, and deranged homeless people bathing in their own urine: no topic is safe, and the unusual is commonplace. Starving artists of the world grab your sketchbooks, skirt the velvet rope, and take a walk with the beautiful people!
