MORE ABOUT ME:

R. Evan grew up in an artistic family, his parents both being opera singers and set designers. he travelled throughout europe in his childhood, and to this day attributes his love of architecture, culture, texture and art to this experience. He attended college at New York's prestigious School of Visual Arts, majoring in Computer Graphics and Animation. In 1997 he joined MTV Animation as an intern and worked his way up the ranks, eventually working as a digital designer for a season at "Blue's Clues", Nickelodeon's Emmy-nominated children's series.

Striking out on his own, he worked for a number of years on various freelance projects, learning the ropes at numerous industries of culture and commerce. He has worked in advertising, film, package design, real estate, and corporate firms. he has designed dvd menu screens for over twenty different movies, in conjunction with Zuma Digital, a dvd production house. He especially enjoyed working for Shooting Gallery Films as an art director, where he had the good fortune of working with an incredibly tight-knit team of designers and programmers.

He continues to work freelance, currently as the art director for Perlina, an up-scale handbag company, where he photographs the handbags and designs the advertisements and catalogues for this family-run company. In the evenings, he focuses on his music and painting. He hopes to find a home for his considerable graphic skills and experience, where he can help build a company identity and and a customer following through the use of consistent design.

ABOUT ARTSUCKS

Artsucks.com tracks the wild, weird, and sometimes confusing life and mind of Cojo, Art Juggernaut (BIO) (PORTFOLIO), an artistic zeitgeist trudging the streets of Manhattan, gnawing on the big rotten apple for all it's worth, and getting drunk on the cider...Celebrity encounters, industry parties, the ins and outs of the art world, paparazzi, models, and deranged homeless people bathing in their own urine, no topic is safe, and the unusual is commonplace.
