SHIPPING AND HANDLING
When you click the "BUY NOW" button for a sketch you are interested in it will take you to the corresponding check out page for that sketch. There you will notice that the sketch will be priced slightly higher than the CURRENT SELLING PRICE listed on sketch365.com's home page. The reason for this is that the shipping and handling fees, and the mandatory insurance fee have been added on.
Within the United States sketch365.com sold sketches are being shipped via:
USPS Priority Mail- US $4.80- Added at checkout. ($1.00 of this is for packaging)
For shipping around the world, sold sketches are being shipped via:
USPS Global Priority Mail (GPM) at a flat rate of $10.00 USD
For your protection, your sketch will be shipped in a COLLECTOR SAFE PREMIUM Archival Quality, Acid-Free, PVC Free, Crystal Clear Polypropylene 8 1/2" x 11" Magazine bag (The Kind Magazine Collectors Display Magazines In) double backed by two Acid-Free Magazine Backing Boards.
INSURANCE- USA ONLY
I want you to be happy with your purchase and protect you against loss or damage (I want your piece to arrive in one piece!) I have decided to Insure (with the United States Parcel Service) every sketch mailed within the United States. The price for insurance will automatically be added in final check out. As all things in this experiment, the insurance is cheapest in the beginning and will increase over the time of the project as the price of the sketches rise. This is because the levels of insurance the government sets become more expensive as the prices of the items being mailed become more valuable.
The initial fee for insurance when protecting mail in the US for mailed items valued at $100.01 to $200 is $3.20. The first 100 sketches sold fall into this price range, so all of the first 100 sketches sold will have the additional $3.20 added in the checkout. Every hundred dollar incremental increase after that raises the insurance $1.00 USD. So the 101st-200th sketches sold will have an additional $1.00 added to their check out price, being that insurance fee for the $200.01 - $300.00 range of insurable merchandise shipped is $4.20.
INSURANCE- AROUND THE WORLD
This is not applicable overseas in that Global Priority Mail does not allow insurance to be purchased for mail shipped overseas. Overseas shipping (As well as shipping to Canada and Mexico) will be at a flat rate of $10.00 USD.
For overseas collectors, the difference between what you pay at checkout time, and the $10.00 USD will be either charged to you after the transaction is completed in a separate global shipping transaction of a few dollars, or will be credited back to your account after the transaction is completed (depending on if American Shipping and Insurance is more or less-based upon how much sketches are selling for, and how much the insurance is for American shipping.).
If you want to spend more for insurance, I can mail you your piece (s) via USPS Global Express Guaranteed (GXG) , which costs significantly more, but it is preferred for your safety and the safety of your piece. I will figure out pricing soon, in that I have never sent anything this way before.
SALES TAX
A 6 percent sales tax is added to purchases made in the state of Pennsylvania.
